Since 2019, the Madeira Classical Orchestra has the privilege of having the high patronage of his excellency the President of the Republic

The Madeira Classical Orchestra managed by the Association Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas (ANSA), has the privilege of having the High Sponsorship of His Excellency the President of the Republic since February 16th, 2019.
The President of the Republic, Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa, has granted his High Sponsorship to one of the oldest active Orchestras in the country, whose main objectives are to promote erudite music, train young musicians and captivate the interest of the general public, thus contributing to the improvement of its social and cultural level.

This privilege, granted by His Excellency the President of the Republic, is proof of the recognition and importance of the work developed by the Classical Orchestra of Madeira and its impact in the education and culture of the Region and the Country.
ANSA sees its responsibility reinforced in providing conditions for the Orchestra to continue to offer repertoires of excellence, thus contributing to a change of mentality, particularly among residents so that they feel proud of their Orchestra and a determined will to participate in concerts.

Founding Members – Members who were involved in the process of the constitution of ANSA through public deed.
Honorary Members – Individual or collective people who, through their actions, dignity and prestige, stand out and are recognized as having social merit. These members will have to be admitted through the General Assembly after being proposed by the orchestra’s directors.

Meritorious Members – Individual or collective people who voluntarally and selflessly contribute with assets or economically relevant values to the pursuit of ANSA purposes. Meritorious members are appointed by the the General Assembly, after proposal by the directors and with previous aproval by the founding members.

Contributing Members – Individual or collective people, admitted by the directors who pay a monthly or yearly quota as stipulated by the General Assembly.

How to become a Member

You will have to join the Associação Notas e Sinfonias Atlântica which will give you the status of "Associado Contribuinte" and that way, besides supporting the Madeira Classical Orchestra, you will have some benefits in the access to the concerts.

Contributing members’ benefits

Anyone over the age of eighteen is entitled to participate in the General Assembly with voting rights.
Three free tickets per year, except for the New Year's concert. In the "Family" typology, adults benefit from free entrance. For youth and children integrated in the "Family" category, they benefit from the discounts applied to the "Youth Persons" and "Child" members.
Reduced ticket prices for access to concerts of the tutti Orchestra and the Strings Orchestras.
Sending the week's schedule by mail.
Assigning a Card with identification and its validity .

Other discounts :
• 50% discount for concerts of the Associação Amigos do Conservatório de Música da Madeira (Association Friends of the Madeira Music Conservatory)

The New Year’s Day concert has a unique price of 30 euros per person.

1- Friend Member of the Orchestra - Adult

64 years of age or under (inclusive)
Validity: 1 year
Cost per year: 50€

Benefits:

Three free tickets per year that can be used for any concert except the New Year's Concert.
Discounted admission tickets:

• 50% discount for Tutti orchestra concerts: 10,00€ • 33% discount for string orchestra concerts: 10,00€

Chamber music concerts – unique price of 10,00€

P.S.: These discounts are not applicable for the New Year’s Concert, which has a unique price of 30 euros

2 - Friends Member of the Orchestra - Family

Families with dependent children, including students (up to 25 years of age)

Yearly fee (children are exempt from paying membership)

2.1. With 1 child: 15% discount
• 2 adults = 85,00€

• 1 adult = 42,50€
• With 2 children: 20%
• 2 adults = 80,00€
• 1 adult = 40,00€

2.2. With more than 3 children: 25% discount
• 2 adults = 75,00€
• 1 adult = 37,50€

Benefits:

Each of the adults will be entitled to three free tickets per year that can be used at any concert except for the New Year's concert, in addition to the discounted tickets.
Dependent children enjoy discounts on concert tickets in accordance with their age, with the exception of the New Year's concert.

• Adults: 50% discount - 10,00€
• Young persons between 13 and 25 years of age (inclusive): 7,50€

• Children ages 6 to 12 (inclusive): 2,50€ 2. String orchestra concerts

• Young persons between 13 and 25 years of age (inclusive): 5,00€

• Adults (unique price): 10,00€
• Young persons between 13 and 25 years of age (inclusive): 5,00€
