The Project "Solidarity Orchestra" is one of the projects integrated in the scope of ANSA social responsibility that, through the Madeira Classical Orchestra, provides people with more opportunities, access to cultural goods of high artistic performance. We believe that art, and in this case classical music, should be accessible to all, regardless of their social status, age, gender, ideology and creed. If, on the one hand, we consider it important to demystify the elitist notion that prevails over classical music and humanize its creators, on the other hand, we intend to install the “taste” for music and, consequently, contribute to combating social exclusion, offering music and art to the less fortunate and providing the well-being that everyone deserves and needs.
This project is divided into two types of Action:
Action I - "The Orchestra invites" (starting in 2018) - ANSA directs invitations to institutions for users to attend concerts of the Madeira Classical Orchestra (selection of 3 concerts per year).
Action II - "The Orchestra goes to the Public" (starting in 2020) - The Madeira Classical Orchestra, through its groups, goes to the institutions to offer musical moments to the users.
