THE MANAGEMENT OF AN ENTITY THAT HAS AS ITS PURPOSE THE "MADEIRA CLASSICAL ORCHESTRA"

A passionate and inspiring project that fills us with pride!

The Atlantic Notes and Symphonies Association was formed in 2013 with the objective of coordinating and dynamising the Madeira Classical Orchestra. An orchestra that had its origins in the "Academia de Música da Madeira Chamber Orchestra", conceived in 1964, for exclusively pedagogical purposes, by the Academy of Music and Fine Arts of Madeira, by the director of the music section, the teacher and violinist Jorge Madeira Carneiro. An orchestra that is part of the historical and cultural heritage of the region. Recognized for its high artistic performance; for representing a touristic-cultural poster of the Region; for its pedagogical vocation, either in the formation of young musicians, either in the formation of audiences through the rich programs it offers; and for its social responsibility, particularly through its project “Solidarity Orchestra".

А Orchestra is recognized for its enormous capacity to represent the spiritual greatness of the collective artistic commitment, shared by musicians and their audience; this being its integrating power and its capacity for communion, characteristics that are part of its sociocultural DNA. For, it is an Orchestra where all those who are part of it, the musicians and the technical team of the back office, are involved with a spirit of mission, enthusiasm, commitment and passion for music.

It is on ANSA that falls the responsibility to guarantee the Orchestra the best conditions to continue alive, to grow, to renew itself season after season, never forgetting its roots, sustained by the passion, the talent, the dedication and the connection of all those who work for it.

А ANSA must therefore have tools and constantly think and rethink on more flexible, comprehensive, efficient and effective strategies directed to the public and that point to the discovery of new experiences, interests and motivations and, consequently, in the acquisition of new cultural habits.

ANSA is aware that the fulfilment of this mission has only been possible thanks to the annual support of the Regional Government that sees in the Orchestra the Project for the dissemination of classical music, and the involvement of public and private entities and the media, which recognize the role of the Madeira Classical Orchestra and the importance and impact that the arts, particularly music, have in the education of young people and in people's lives in general. We invite you to continue to be with us, supporting ANSA and to enjoy the beautiful, fascinating and inspiring moments that the Classical Orchestra of Madeira has to offer you that, undoubtedly, can contribute to the balance of the human being's existence.
