Public Utility

The Council of Government meeting in plenary on 1 September 2016, resolved to declare of Public Utility the "Atlantic Notes and Symphonies Association" - Resolution No. 600/2016, I Series, No. 157, of the Official Journal of the Autonomous Region of Madeira of 07 September 2016.

Resolution No. 600/2016

Whereas the "Atlantic Note and Symphony Association" was constituted on 27 May 2013, is a private, non-profit institution, aimed at managing and boosting the Classical Orchestra of Madeira, and its ten chamber music ensembles;

Whereas the "Atlantic Note and Symphony Association" provides and develops activities of public utility, through the promotion of classical music and the training of young musicians, students and young people in professional training regimen namely, as a complement to the

training promoted by the Conservatório - Escola Profissional das Artes da Madeira, Eng. Luiz Peter Clode (CEPAM) within the scope of the management and promotion of the orchestral and chamber music training groups;

Considering that, throughout these three years, the Association has sought to maintain a cultural offer of reference in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, providing quality concerts in the area of classical music, promoting the education of the population, thus contributing to the cultural enrichment of the resident public and visitors to the Region

Whereas the Association organises and develops its activities, on a non-profit basis, for the benefit of the whole of the Autonomous Region of Madeira, also making an important contribution to tourism in the Autonomous Region of Madeira, namely through the respective cultural offer;

Considering also that the Association, in the pursuit of its purposes and since its foundation, has cooperated with the most diverse entities and with the regional administration, namely the Regional Secretaries of Education, Agriculture and Fisheries and CEPAM;

The Council of Government meeting in plenary on 1 September 2016, resolved to declare the "Associação Notas e Sinfonias Atlânticas" of public utility, under the terms of article 2 of the Regional Legislative Decree no. 44/2008/M, of 23 December, which adapted to the Region the Decree-Law no. 460/77, of 7 November, amended by Decree-Law no. 391/2007, of 13 December.
